Jay-Z Offers to Make Harry Styles the Biggest Artist in the World Within a Year
Jay Z is no stranger in building superstars (I mean come on look at Roc Nation’s roster), and it looks like he’s looking to make another one or at least make him bigger.
The 46 year mogul has his sights on One Direction’s Harry Styles and has publicly expressed his desire to manage Style’s solo career. In an interview with Daily Star Sunday he revealed that , he can make the One Direction member “the biggest artist in the world” within a year, “Harry doesn’t need any help with exposure; everybody in the world knows who he is,” he told the Daily Star , “But he does need to make the transition from being part of a group to becoming an individual artist….I can get him working with the bigger artists, the biggest producers – and have him as the biggest artist in the world within a year.”
Last year after the loss of former band member Zayn Malik to his decision to pursue a solo career, all four guys of One Direction mutually agreed that the group would go on at least a one year long hiatus starting in March. During this break the members will be pursuing their own projects. At the end of last year it emerged that Styles had written four new songs registered under his own name rather than the One Direction moniker. Entitled Already Home, Coco, Endlessly and 5378 Miles, the songs were registered with the performing rights organization ASCAP, the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers. However, he has yet to confirm news of his solo venture.
