While Sunday’s game against The Washington Redskins may not have went so well for The New York Giant that isn’t stopping him from giving back to his community and this time he’s using his new Nike Color Rush jersey to do so. Last year was the original debut and test run for the Color Rush jerseys. When the Jets (all Green) and Bills debuted the first Color Rush game last year — the Jets in all green and the Bills in all red — many colorblind viewers couldn't decipher between teams, After taking into consideration the concerns and reactions from their fans and viewers, the NFL and Nike have created 32 brand new designs for all 32 teams. It was recently announced by the Louisiana native himself that he would be donating the first $500,000 that he receives from his new Nike Color Rush Jersey sales to assist with repairs to destroyed Louisiana fields. If you recall, last month Louisiana suffered from yet another natural disaster, a deadly flood that resulted in thousands of submerged homes and the death of 13 people. It is being called the “worst natural disaster to strike the United States since Hurricane Sandy four years ago”.  Beckham was born and raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and also attended Louisiana State University where he was eventually drafted by the New York Giants in the first round of the 2014 NFL Draft with the 12th pick.
