Angelina Jolie is finally opening up about her split from Brad Pitt.
Sources say the root of the divorce came into play because Angelina was reportedly upset with Brad's parenting style.
There were claims made that Pitt was abusing the children, doing drugs, and possibly had an alcohol problem.
Jolie spoke to BBC World News on last Monday, the 21st, about her new film "First They Killed My Father,". She didn’t really say much, but she is just trying to deal with it.
“I don’t want to say very much about that, except to say it was a very difficult time and we are a family and we will always be a family, and we will get through this time and hopefully be a stronger family for it,” she told BBC's, Yalda Hakim.
The two first met each other on the set of their film "Mr. & Mrs. Smith," in 2003, while Pitt was married to actress, Jennifer Aniston, and they quickly began dating after Pitt and Aniston split. They got married in a secret ceremony in 2014 in France and had been together for 12 years. They were the world’s most notable couple.
She also stated, "My focus is my children, our children, and my focus is finding this way through. As I said, we are and forever will be a family. That is how I am coping. I am coping with finding a way through to make sure that this somehow makes us stronger and closer,"
The star first filed for divorce from actor Brad Pitt in September 2016, and it is now finally being dealt with altogether, after a long time of going back and forth with courts and having to go to therapy. Yes. Therapy. For a while, they had to go to family therapy all together, and the only way Brad was able to see the kids for awhile was if he went to the meetings, and someone else was more present.
We are saddened that they had to go through this, but we do hope that they can make it work and continue to be a true family.
