Donald Glover just keeps on winning it seems like. He and his brother, Stephen Glover did a phenomenal job on the series, Atlanta and now they’re making a comeback with an animated series. Their decision? A Deadpool remake. The action-packed movie is about a man who was diagnosed three types of cancers and gets a chance at life by trying a new factor to cure him. It works but leaves his skin looking terrible, like he got burned all over. Long story short, Deadpool is left for dead and when he survives, he looks for the man who tried to kill him and his find his wife again. He finds the man, finds out there’s no cure to “fix” him, kills him, and gets back with the love of his life.
There are no details yet, as this news is still new, but according to the Hollywood Reporter, Glover already has a writers’ room in London ready to go after he finishes filming the new Star Wars film. The animated series is set to premiere in 2018 with 10 episodes, and we’ll be seeing the Deadpool sequel with Glover’s co-star, Zazie Beetz, playing “Domino”.
We can’t wait to see what the brotherly duo will bring to the table, and Nick, the co-president of FX can’t either.
“Donald Glover is an incredibly gifted and versatile artist who'll bring the untitled Marvel's Deadpool series to life with the same intense, singular vision as his breakout hit Atlanta…”
2018 already starting to a great start!
