Rap Artist John David Jackson, better known as, Fabolous is well known for bringing us hits like, So Into You Ft. Tamia and Ready Ft. Chris Brown. He is also known to be the longtime partner of Celebrity Stylist and Shoe Designer, Emily Bustamante. The two stars have participated in an on-and-off for more than 10 years. The pair first met at an event in 2002, where she said the rapper spotted her from across the room. Emily B. gained even more popularity in 2011 when she went to star in the VH1 franchise Love & Hip Hop. The pair share two sons together and a daughter from a previous relationship of Emily's: Taina Williams (20), Johan Jackson (10), Jonas Jackson (2). From the surface the two appeared to have a healthy companionship, however, behind closed doors revealed to be secrets that contain pain, sadness and disappointment.
Just recently, a video was released showing the rapper charging at Emily B and her father while threatening them with a sharp object in the driveway of the his home in Englewood, New Jersey. In the video you could see Emily running away from Fabolous and hear their children crying. According to NorthJersey.com, Fabolous turned himself in to authorities on Wednesday, March 28th at 8:30pm after the domestic dispute (in the video) allegedly turned violent. A police affidavit signed by Bustamante later stated that she "feared for her life" after a separate altercation on March 7, in which the Brooklyn rapper allegedly hit Emily seven times in the face, which resulted in the 36-year-old losing her two front teeth. incident and coinciding texts. The report also states that Jackson was booked for aggravated assault and terrorist threats before being cited and released from custody. According to TMZ, the alleged March 7th assault took place out in Los Angeles when Fabolous "became enraged" after finding out that Emily B was also on the West Coast via Instagram. Threatening text messages were also revealed to have been made from the 40-year-old MC towards the former Love & Hip-Hop reality star. The messages reportedly said that Fab "wanted to hit [Emily] in the head with a baseball bat and that he would kill her but he 'did not want to go out like that”.
After the supposed altercation, Emily B had the two handguns in their Englewood, New Jersey, residence removed by her father and brother before Loso could get to the weapons. Leading to the altercation seen on the video once Fabolous arrived at the scene, he quickly "left the house, but not before informing the victim, her father and her brother that he had a bullet for them”.
This case has since been deemed ongoing and it is impossible to judge which way the ruling will go. The reasoning for Fabolous’ harmful actions remain unverified, but we all know that they are nothing but shortcomings and ill makings of a man. The fans have had a hard time digesting the matter as well. Some people defended Emily like others defended Fab however, with the evidence that has been released, especially a video, there is no way to deny that abuse takes place in that relationship. According to Bossip, Fabolous has asked for his case to be delayed without giving a reason. The rapper was scheduled to appear in court for the first time today but, at the last minute, his lawyers requested for the date to be rescheduled, which was granted in the form of a three-week reprieve. If Jackson does in fact end up convicted of aggravated assault, he faces anywhere between three to five years in prison. We will keep you up-to-date if any new updates appears.
