Ella Mai has been in the game for a few years now but she really made a statement when “Boo’d up” surfaced the media. After this, the fans wanted more and more. We knew after “Trip” was released an album was soon to follow and we were correct. She has dropped a self- titled album featuring those two songs and 14 other songs too! Ella Mai gives us a pure R&B feel that is so genuine that we can’t find anywhere else.

Nowadays, some R&B artist try multiple different sounds on their albums. This isn’t an awful thing but sometimes we look for an album that we can just keep the same vibe around throughout the entire project. Let’s get into these features though. Ella Mai has songs with Chris Brown, John Legend, and H.E.R ...WHAT?! I’ve never known anyone to be fresh in the game with a feature from John Legend! This duet “Everything” gives listeners such a sweet sound to their ears. “Whatchamacallit” is her single with Chris Brown and this was released a few days before the album dropped. The last thing the fans needed was a Chris Brown feature to stir up their excitement for the album. Lastly, H.E.R is another female singer that has been topping the charts lately, so you already know that these two together have a sound you can’t find anywhere else.
