New Music from Khalid

Khalid has released the new single from his soon to be released second LP Free Spirit, entitled “Talk”.

The context of the track embrace the need for simple communication post disagreement with a lover before the issue expands and becomes greater than what it is. He poses with the question, “Can we just talk?” pleading for compromise and answers. “Can we just talk? Talk about where we're goin’, Before we get lost, lend me your thoughts, Can't get what we want without knowin” After recent performance of “Talk” and his ballad “Better” on Saturday Night Live, Khalid finally released the visuals for the newest single. In the vivid video for “Talk,” the camera playfully follows Khalid around singing, clapping, and jigging into the lens. The video represents the barrier that he faces with a lover in regard to communication and moving forward in the relationship. Symbolically, the majority of the scenes take place in block like rooms. Dancers are dressed in multi colored outfits, in colorful rooms, and lighting as they gracefully move rhythmically to the song matching the tracks vibrancy and energetics.
