Several years ago, the Hunger Games book and movie trilogy took the world by storm. Readers and viewers enjoyed reading about the life of Katniss Everdeen, which took place in a dynopstic time period. Suzanne Collins, the author of the Hunger Games series, has recently announced that she wrote a prequel to the story, titled “The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes”, which takes place 64 years before the events of the very first book in her series. The book is going to explain the reconstruction period that the country of Panem went through, and show the struggles that it took to get where they were. Her first book, “The Hunger Games”, was extremely successful, it was in the New York Times best seller list for more than 250 weeks, and has millions of copies sold around the world.
There has been talk that LionsGate, which has been responsible for bringing the moves to life, is already working on creating a movie based off of Suzanne Collin’s newest book.
