Meet the Squad
The Divah Filez was created to give HBCU Students an outlet to express there favorite subjects and topics. This team runs the show. Students write each story and conduct every interview. No company is complete without the successful team that is behind it. That's why at the Divah Filez we have "Le Creme' de le Creme'" of writing staff behind every story. These HBCU Students were carefully selected from a pool of applicants from HBCU's around the country. Jazmyne Byrd is an award winning journalist and writer for several successful online and print publications including Sister 2 Sister and The Hype Magazine. Jazz created this opportunity for HBCU Students to build efficient and professional writing portfolios. She's a Central State University C/O 2009 Graduate with a B.A in Psychology and Communications.

Deszane’ Flowers is a recent graduate with a BS in Political Science. She is currently attending Pepperdine Law School perusing her Master's in Legal Studies. She hopes to become a paralegal after graduation, working at a corporate law firm.

A plus-size 18-year-old queen from Boston, MA who’s not afraid to tell it like it is. Driven by her passions which include music, entertainment, and media then you shouldn’t be surprised by the fact that she is a Rapper, YouTuber, and is majoring in Mass Media Arts with a concentration in radio, tv, and film. She has big dreams of becoming a radio/tv personality and making it in the entertainment industry. A lady of many talents she’s also a middle blocker for volleyball, lifeguard/swim instructor, and an incoming freshman to the illustrious Clark Atlanta University. Beauty, Brains, and a Big personality that will light up any room, that is Jitarra (JSimmone) Ellis.

Phylicia Wright
Phylicia Wright is from Tallahassee, FL. She is a junior Public Relations major where she attends the Iconic and Illustrious Florida A&M University. She is very active on campus by being a part of multiple organizations and giving back to her community. As a singer herself she loves music and in her free time likes to sing, write music, and spend time with loved ones. After graduation, her goal is to become an A&R coordinator for a record label and eventually start an entertainment company with her twin brother.

Arion McCullough is a recent graduate of Oakwood University, in Huntsville, Alabama, where she majored in Broadcast Journalism and Marketing. Arion is an upbeat young professional who enjoys watching Netflix, reading books, spending time with her friends, and shopping for new clothes. Her goal is to work in the entertainment industry and use her creative abilities to highlight interesting stories that will attract people from various backgrounds. Arion is excited to serve as a writer for “The Buzz” because she loves entertainment news and keeping others informed of what is happening in the world of celebrities.

Halle Coleman is a junior Mass Communications major with a concentration in Integrated Marketing, attending Jackson State University. She enjoys listening to music, writing, and discovering new shows/movies. After graduation, she aspires establish a career in entertainment through public relations work.

Autymn Epps is a rising sophomore at the Illustrious Clark Atlanta University. She is a 19-year- old Business Administration major with a concentration in Marketing from Baltimore, Maryland.
She enjoys being an active member on campus through multiple organizations. If there is one thing about Autymn that you should know, she loves to explore her creativity. Autymn aspires to be a
marketing director/chief in the sports and entertainment industry. Her passion for writing stemmed during her adolescence. As a marketing chief she plans to increase the company’s brand promotion and sales through her means of marketing creativity. She loves to write poems and keep up to date with her favorite celebrities and artist. On her days off Autymn loves to explore ways that she can impact her neighboring community through dedication and service.

Dyamon Chavis is 20 years old from Port Arthur Tx and she is currently a Junior at Prairie View A&M University. She is a writer for Fashion Gawdz. After graduation, she plans on pursing her career in fashion as a designer and stylist. She wants to attend Parsons Art and Design School in NYC majoring in Fashion Merchandising and Fashion Design. She also plans on opening her very own clothing line after she graduates.

Nyle Young also know as Nyle Boogie is originally from the 757! She graduated from Virginia Union University in 2018 with her Bachelors in Mass Communications/Broadcast Journalism. Currently, Boogie has her own brand entitled “Oh Word” Nyle Boogie! A blog/vlog about everything sports, music, entertainment, and politics. She also has her own sports radio show called “4th Quarter Run Down” on www.cruzincradio.com. In the future, Boogie wants to become a NBA journalist/reporter. She also would like to become a General Manager or part owner of an NBA team as well.
