Gabby Douglas To Judge Miss America Pageant
Despite what is going on with Olympic gymnast, Gabby Douglas, she still manages to come out on top. The gold medalist is set to be a judge for the 2017 Miss America pageant.
Not only will she be up at the judges table, but also Sara Foster, Cole Swindle, and former Miss America winner, Sharlene Wells Hawkes.
Douglas exclaims, “Miss America has been such an amazing event for so many years and I am excited to have the opportunity to judge the competition this year…the contestants are a great example of strong women across America and I especially look forward to hearing the platforms that each of them will represent.”
According to NY Daily News, a big reason why they decided to have her on the show was because she is a role model for many young ladies of this generation, especially for the way she controls herself through all the hatred and negative comments made to her and about her.
She stated,
“I just found things to be positive about, and there's a lot to be happy about. We won the gold medal as a team, and it was just such an amazing experience. I came to the Olympics and won a gold medal!"
We definitely cannot wait to see what she has to bring to the table for this year’s show with the beautiful contestants competing.
The show is dated to air on Sunday, September 11 in Atlantic City, NJ
