Jodeci May Be Next In Line To Receive A Biopic

Good news 90s babies, yet another one of your favorite groups are bringing their story to your television screens. Following the nostalgic high brought on by the recent flooding of biopics (which we have yet to come down from), certain TV networks are opting out of the big screen like Straight Outta Compton and All Eyez On Me and are cashing in on TV Movies/Series instead like BET’s New Edition Story, Lifetime’s Whitney and TVOne’s Miki Howard Story. It is being reported that the original “Bad Boy’s” of R&B have their own biopic in the works over at VH1. The news follows a tweet from Mr. Dalvin himself (See Below).

According to a recent interview with Mr. Dalvin, the contract was made last September and the script has just been finalized. Production and casting, he says, will began next month and we should look forward to seeing the finished project at the end of the year.

VH1 has been quiet about details on the film, but in 2013, the network released CrazySexyCool: The TLC Story, starring Lil Mama, Keke Palmer and Drew Sidora as Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes, Rozanda “Chili” Thomas and Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins. The film brought in 4.5 million viewers, making it the highest rated original program in the network’s history. It would only make sense for them to jump on the biopic train and bring the untold stories of DeVante Swing, Mr. Dalvin, K-Ci and JoJo.
