My Bad
Sunday April 19th I got the opportunity to interview rapper Just Jitt about his new track “My Bad”. The Atlanta based artist released a snippet from his new upcoming EP Hotel Atlanta Vol. 1 that will be releasing later on this year. The EP is meant to be a fun party tape that makes you want to get up and dance. It’s an eight soundtrack project with a feature from Lil Keed.
The reason that it is named hotel Atlanta is because of him being from zone six and growing up with the music and culture. When I asked Jitt if he had any advice for any up-and-coming rappers his advice for up and coming rappers with a dream and his advice is to “Never stop recording no matter what. If it’s something that you really want to do, take the time to develop your craft and never give up no matter what anybody says”.
He shared with me that the reason why he does it is for his family, friends and everybody from the same city as him so they know that they can make it out too. He is a true example that it doesn’t matter where you come from it all matters where you’re going and how hard you’re willing to work to get there. To get fans excited for his new single and project Jitt had a 500 dollar My Bad Challenge on Instagram and Tic Tok. Using social media to do this virtual dance challenge has become very popular since the pandemic and is also a very fun easy way to advertise and get involved with fans. To keep up with all of the exciting up-and-coming projects just yet has come out make sure that you follow him on his Instagram at gestured and be on the lookout for his EP coming out later on this year.
