Michel’le Set To Be The Subject of Lifetime’s Next Biopic

It looks like Lifetime plans to continue its run of biopics about female ‘90s R&B singers, which previously included Whitney Houston, Aaliyah, and most recently Toni Braxton. The latest recipient has just been revealed to be none other than, Michel’le Toussaint. The film is set to detail the life of the South Central native, who was discovered by the late Eazy-E and later became a platinum artist at Eazy’s label Ruthless Records. Aside from the music she is also notoriously known for being the decade long girlfriend of Dr. Dre and the ex-wife of Suge Knight, fostering kids from both relationships. Michel’le was around and witnessed many of N.W.A.’s ups and downs and after years of silence she is finally telling her story. Lincoln Heights actress Rhyon Nicole Brown is set to star as the titular singer and it was recently revealed that actor Curtis Hamilton will portray NWA member Dr. Dre and Straight Outta Compton’s R. Marcos Taylor will reprise his role as Suge Knight. The movie is currently titled as “The Michel’le Story’ but, it is subject to change. Principle photography is set to begin next month.
