Niecy Nash to Star in New TNT Dramedy ‘Claws’

Funny lady Niecy Nash has joined the cast of TNT’s new proposed series “Claws”. The show is an hour long scripted dramedy set in a Southern Florida nail salon. It is described as a “wickedly funny meditation on female badness which follows the rise of five diverse and treacherous Florida manicurists in the traditionally male world of organized crime…there is a lot more going on at the Nail Artisan of Manatee County salon than SILK wraps and pedicures.” Nash has been cast to play Desna Simms, the owner of the salon. “Claws” will be produced by Warner Horizon Television, a decision of the Warner Bros. and is executively produce by Will McCormack and Rashida Jones (who also stars in and produces new cop show parody, Angie Tribeca).
