Lena Dunham Speaks on "Distasteful" Kanye West "Famous" Video

Lena Dunham has expressed her feelings for Kanye West’s newly released visual of, “Famous” and she is not happy about it one bit. Dunham stated that she has to see “prone, unconscious, waxy bodies of famous women, twisted like they’ve been drugged and chucked aside at a rager.”

If you have not seen the video, the visual is of a couple of celebrities in bed, nude, all around some messy sheets that some, resemble another famous painting from years ago. The celebrities include: George W. Bush, Anna Winter, Donald Trump, Rihanna, Chris Brown, Taylor Swift, Kim Kardashian, Ray J., Amber Rose, Caitlyn Jenner, and even Bill Cosby.

Dunham states that she looks up to Taylor Swift and to have to look at her naked on a music video is really disturbing and said it makes her feel “unsafe” and “worried” for the younger audience who may have watched it.

Kanye has even tweeted that is “ready to be sued’ by anyone, probably, over his new visual. Kim supports his project and Chris Brown even made jokes on Instagram about the video, so there’s no hard feelings there.

Ray J. and his manager weren’t too pleased with the video, as they made a response to the visual, but that’s about it.

For Dunham’s closing statement, she says, “I know that art’s job is to make us think in ways that aren’t always tidy or comfortable, but this feels different.” But West stated that this video is simply a comment on fame.

What do you think of the new video, if you've seen it already?
