Ciara Joins Judges Panel For 2017 Miss America Competition

Once credited as Pop’s next big thing, Ciara is quickly climbing the ladder to becoming fashion’s It Girl. Mrs. Wilson recently posed beside the iconic supermodel Iman for L’Officiel’s September issue, titled “Gang of Africa” and now has officially been chosen as the final member of the celebrity judges panel for the 2017 Miss America competition, as announced by The Miss America Organization Wednesday. Ciara first stepped onto the scene in the early 2000’s with her Goodies and 1, 2, Step. She slowly began making a name for herself in the music industry with her catchy tunes and even catchier dance moves; earning her the title of the Princess of Crunk&B. Standing at 5’10, the statuesque singer quickly branched off into the world of modeling and acting and in 2009 she signed a multimillion-dollar deal with renowned modeling agency Wilhelmina Models (later joining IMG as well in 2016). Ciara will join Olympic gymnast Gabby Douglas, actresses Sara Foster (Barely Famous) & Laura Marano (Austin & Aly), Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban, country star Cole Swindell and former Miss America Sharlene Wells Hawkes. The panel will evaluate the contestants’’ performance in swimsuits, evening wear, talent, interviews and answering onstage questions. The pageant finale will be broadcasted live from Atlantic City on ABC on September 11th, hosted by “The Bachelor” host Chris Harrison and ESPN broadcaster Sage Steele.
