Mariah Carey & James Packer Call It Quits!

Mariah Carey and Billionaire James Packer have officially called it splits. It appears as if Packer was the one to call things off as a source close to the Australian business man claims that, despite both possessing a substantial amount of money, the two have two completely different lifestyles. Packer reportedly can no longer handle Mariah’s “eccentric ways” and “excessive and senseless spending”. It has also been reported that The Packer family doesn’t care much for the Diva (and apparently never have)...Ouch.

The two initially became engaged earlier this year after Packer (49) proposed to Carey (46), with a 35-carat diamond ring in her hometown of New York City in January. This came just months after the two took their relationship public last September following Carey’s split from ex-husband Nick Cannon (who also fathers her twins Morraco and Monroe).

The breakup comes as the Pop Icon prepares to debut her upcoming E! show Mariah’s World (which also is said to have caused a rift between the two), that is set to document Carey as she prepares for her “Sweet Sweet Fantasy” tour as well as preparing for the wedding. A date was never set but it looks like now it never will be.
