Blake Griffin Stars In Mocumentary

Aside from his impressive stats and infamous dunks, The Los Angeles Clippers’ Power Forward is also quite the comedian. Griffin has tested his acting chops with various commercials for his endorsements, such as Gamefly, Kia Motors, Subway, and Vizio. And who can forget his hilarious “Blake vs Drake” skit with rapper and host Drake at the 2014 ESPY awards? Well it looks like the 6’10” athlete is taking it up a notch.

The Verizon-owned streaming service, Go90, has picked up sports mockumentary series The 5th Quarter. The 5th Quarter, which first premiered Nov. 2nd, will tell untold — and untrue — stories set in the sports world with the help of a team of professional athletes and comedians, including JB Smoove, Jerry O'Connell, George Lopez, Adam Pally, Chris Parnell, Jeff Ross, Metta World Peace, Ahmad Rashad and Chandler Parsons. The 12-episode series begins with "But I'm Just a Little Boy," in which Blake Griffin stars as seven-year-old Clif Cliff Adele who comes to America with his uncle Brian (Donnell Rawlings). Adele sets the basketball world on fire as he looks to lead his 2002 AAU basketball team to the national championship. He earns looks from The NBA, Mavericks owner Mark Cuban included. But soon a scandal breaks out and it is revealed that Clif Cliff is actually a 30-year-old man.

According to the production companies (OBB Pictures) CEO and president Michael D. Ratner, "This series combines the worlds of premium comedy and sports better than ever before. We're very proud to work exclusively with Go90 and with such a diverse all-star cast who were able to bring these untold stories to life in their sometimes inspiring, shocking and comedic ways. Whether the biggest sports fan or not at all, this is a show for everyone." Sounds like we might just have to check it out. Here’s a first look at the premiere episode:
