Audiences Are Shook After ‘ The Bachelor’ Finale

29 beautiful contestants, 1 dashing bachelor, and only one rose. The Bachelor for many seasons has brought us all the components we crave in a television series. Between the drama, the passion, and the heartbreak; the show has always been able to bring us the fairytale happy ending we all crave for ourselves. But, this is simply not the case when it comes to our newest bachelor Arie Luyendyk Jr., Audiences were more than furious about what the finale had instore for them.

During the finale, Luyendyk Jr. was left with a choice to spend the rest of his life with either Becca Kufrin or Lauren Burnham. Viewers were shocked when Luyendyk Jr. had made his final decision and chose to propose to Becca Kufrin. But, little did they know that more surprises were one the way. Right after the finale episode had aired, the “After the Rose“ episode had followed revealing that Luyendyk Jr. and Kufrin were no longer together. But the astonishments didn’t stop there, he had also revealed that he not only called things of with Kufrin, but had renewed his romance with runner-up Lauren Burnham. Which resulted in a proposal to Burnham during the show.

“I hope that audiences will understand me a lot more”

“This is my journey, and this is about finding a lasting love and that road is not always the easiest,” he tells E! “It’s all about the ending and finding that person for yourself and that’s the important part. I’m very happy”

Even though some viewers were happy that Luyendyk Jr. finally got his happy ending, most were still showing compassion for Becca. During the “After the Rose” episode she had opened up about her experience and had explained that she doesn’t think that Luyendyk Jr. changed his mind to hurt her intentionally. “He’s a good person, I don’t think he’s a monster and purposely did this to hurt me and make me feel this way. But it’s just the results of his actions”, Kufrin told People Magazine, “I don’t think he did it maliciously to break my heart”.

After all the drama and turmoil, I think it is safe to say that the lesson in all this is that no matter what people may say, you must always stay true to what’s in your heart and do what’s best for you. Even though Kufrin didn’t get the happy ending she signed up for, her journey for love is nowhere close to finished. ABC officials have announced that Becca Kufrin has been named the next Bachelorette for season 14. You don’t want to miss America sweetheart return for a second shot at love premiering Monday, May 28.
