From ‘This Is Me’ to This is Healing: Demi Lovato and the Jonas Brothers’ Full Circle Camp Rock Moment

Seventeen years after Camp Rock first hit Disney Channel screens, Demi Lovato and the Jonas Brothers brought a wave of nostalgia during the opening night of the Jonas Brothers’ JONAS20: Greetings From Your Hometown Tour on August 10, 2025.

Lovato made a surprise entrance that had fans screaming before she could even sing a note.

“We’ve been through so much together, all of us, the Jonas Brothers and I, and it was really, really great to spend time with them.”, said Lovato

Jonas began with the Camp Rock classic lyric “Gotta Find You”, and just as the crowd was singing along, Lovato appeared, mic in hand, to deliver a powerhouse rendition of “This Is Me”. The pair also performed “Wouldn’t Change a Thing,” their voices blending just as seamlessly as they had in 2008.

Clips from the performance spread across TikTok, Instagram, and X within hours, with fans calling it “goosebumps-inducing” and joking that “the world is healing.” Others immediately began speculating about a possible Camp Rock 3, though neither Lovato nor the Jonas Brothers have confirmed any plans.

For Lovato, the reunion was more than a nostalgic stunt—it was personal. Speaking on the Chicks in the Office podcast, she described the night as “really healing,” sharing that she felt both nervous and focused on hitting her marks. Backstage, the Jonas Brothers met her husband, musician Jordan “Jutes” Lutes, who she said made the evening even more special. “It felt like reconnecting with family,” Lovato explained.

The emotional weight of the performance resonated with fans who grew up with the movie, serving as both a throwback and a reminder of how far the artists have come. From Disney Channel darlings to seasoned musicians, they’ve each weathered career highs and personal challenges, yet their shared history still holds magic.

Whether or not the whispers of a Camp Rock revival come true, the MetLife Stadium moment stands as proof of the enduring bond between Lovato and the Jonas Brothers—and of music’s power to bridge the gap between past and present. For one night, thousands of fans weren’t just watching a concert; they were transported back to a summer when the lyrics felt like an anthem for every Disney dreamer.
