Ella Mai's New Tour
Ella Mai, a London singer and songwriter slowly took her seat at the top of stardom when she released her most recent EP, “Ready”, in February of 2017. The EP was not highly recognized until late November when her biggest song “Boo’d Up” was released as a single in 2018. This song has grew to be a “Summer hit” and is on the playlist of many.
After a disappointment of not advancing in the next round of The X Factor in 2014, Ella Mai and her singing trio went their separate ways. With this freedom, Ella Mai took her talents to the internet, where she was shortly discovered and signed by DJ Mustard’s label, 10 Summer Records.
Her first EP, “Time”, was released in February of 2016, which consisted of the song “She Don’t”, which featured Ty Dolla Sign. After releasing “Time” she released another EP, “Change”, which demonstrates her soothing vocals and charismatic persona. Both projects were a start to why she is now one of the most recognized, young R&B singers in today’s era of music.
Prior to her 2017 EP, Ella Mai’s beautiful voice led her to her first tour with American R&B singer Kehlani on her “SweetSexySavage” World Tour. Ella Mai felt the family atmosphere while on tour with Kehlani. Mai tells ABC Radio “I know some people say, on tours you don’t even really get a chance to always speak to the main act depending on the setup, but it was literally like we were all one big happy family.”
This fame slowly lead to a shout out given by R&B, singer/songwriter Chris Brown. Brown posted a video of him listening and singing “Boo’d Up” in late 2017, which also grew Ella Mai’s listeners.
Due to Ella Mai’s rapid success, she announces she’s headlining a summer tour. On her Twitter page, she broadcast that tickets went on sale Friday, June 15, 2017. As of now Ella Mai’s Boo’d Up Tour consist of 13 cities throughout the month of August with venues to be announced:
