Kamala Harris 2020

Senator Kamala Harris is a U.S Senator & a democratic candidate for the presidential election in 2020. Senator Harris attended Howard University in Washington, D.C., where she majored in political science and economics and pledged Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. After graduating from Howard, Senator Harris attended the University of California, Hastings College of the Law where she earned her Juris Doctor. Senator Harris is the second African American woman in history to be elected to the U.S. Senate, and the first African American woman to serve as Attorney General of the state of California.Harris announced her official campaign on ABC's Good Morning America , stating "The future of our country depends on you and millions of others lifting our voices to fight for our American values. That's why I'm running for president of the United States."Harris initiated her presidential campaign Monday, January 21st at the press conference she held in the lobby of her alma mater, Howard University.
