American Rapper, A$AP Rocky arrested, detained and charged with assault while in Sweden

June 30, a video surfaced social media of American rapper, A$AP Rocky and his entourage in a physical altercation with se

veral men while in Sweden. Not too soon after the bystanders posted this footage on social media, Rocky posted several videos on Instagram about the situation.

This video was recorded by Rocky’s entourage as they were trying to ask a pair of men to stop following the group.

Rocky Captioned the video, “SO A FEW DRUG ADDICTS ARE NOT MY FANS , WE DONT KNOW THESE GUYS AND WE DIDNT WANT TROUBLE, THEY FOLLOWED US FOR 4 BLOCKS, AND THEY WERE SLAPPING GIRLS BUTTS WHO PASSED, GIVE ME A BREAK.”

d to intervene, the boys continued to ignore the repeated requests to stop the harassment.

Rocky clarified for the camera that he and his entourage simply wanted to be left alone. It was at the end of the video that a woman who cannot be seen onscreen added that the men had sexually assaulted both her and her friend.

Following these interactions between both parties, a brawl broke out. Rocky voluntarily arrived at the police station to clarify the incident, TMZ reported that Rocky was arrested “immediately” upon his arrival to the Swedish police station. It was also reported that the American embassy was notified of Rocky’s arrest, however, representatives from the embassy were prohibited from speaking with him.

Recently Rocky’s friends, colleagues, and fans have voiced their solidarity and disagreement in his detainment. President Donald Trump announced to the world that he had spoken to American rapper and Trump supporter, Kanye West, with hopes of working to get Rocky released and back in the United States.
