Wendy Williams x Lifetime
Wendy Williams decided to make executive decisions when it comes to telling her story. The whole divorce drama between her and her ex husband Kevin Hunter triggered her partner up with Lifetime to produce her own biopic. Williams says it will start with her come up in the industry and an end to current time of her being a talk show host for The Wendy Williams Show. She told the audience of her talk show that the casting process has started and the filming production starts this fall. The biopic is titled Just Wendy as it’ll cover the highs and lows of Williams from the age of 10 to 55. A few leaked possibly rumors of the topics will include her struggle with cocaine, her marriage/divorce, date rap experiences, fat shames, and the accounts of racism and sexism she’s encountered in Hollywood. She’ll have two different actresses playing her but the actresses will not be familiar faces as she wants everyone to be focused on the storyline and not the cast members. Will Packer is directing this film. Packer is known for producing Girls Trip, No Good Deed, Straight Outta Compton, and the Ride Along movies. Lifetime will also debut a documentary about Williams after the biopic airs. The film is scheduled to air early 2020 on Lifetime.
