She Says He's Just A "Friend"
Nicole Murphy, the ex wife of comedian Eddie Murphy was spotted kissing a married man. Murphy was in Italy when photos captured her kissing the married filmmaker Antoine Fuqua. Fuqua is known for directing Training Day, The Equalizer 1 and 2, Southpaw, and Brooklyn's Finest. Fuqua is married to actress Lela Rochon. Rochon is most known for her role in the movie Waiting To Exhale, Why Do Fools Fall In Love, Harlem Nights and Boomerang. Fuqua hasn't publicly addressed the situation and Rochon turned her Instagram to private after the pictures surfaced the internet. Murphy on the other hand apologized as she told TMZ the two are "just friends" and exchanged a "friendly hello." She then made a statement going into a little bit of details.
“Antoine and I [are] friends. We ran into each other while we both were in Europe. Without going into the entire situation, I want to apologize to my family, and to Lela and the Fuqua family for what transpired," Murphy's statement read. "It was not my intention to be in this situation. I do not condone women kissing or interacting in anyway (sic) inappropriately with a married man."
She then added,
“I too was once married and I would never intentionally undermine another woman, despite what has been written... I ran into him in Italy and we exchanged a friendly hello and that was it.”
The Player's Club and Civil Brand actress LisaRaye McCoy stepped into the mix as well saying that Murphy was involved with her ex-husband Michael Misick when they were together. Murphy denied those allegations and said that there's no truth to that. McCoy and her sister rapper DaBrat says that those allegations are known FACTS.
I know y'all probably saw these pictures below, but what y'all think? Friends or "FRIENDS"? I'm going with "FRIENDS" cause yeah no Nicole, that's not right sis.
