Legendary Rapper Common New Album, “Let Love”

August 30th , Common released his 12th project Let Love. Let Love is his first new album since 2016’s Black America Again. The successful rapper/actor/producer is now a writer, after dropping a new memoir entitled “Let Love Have the Last Word,” released earlier this year.

Commons new album “Let Love” is a musically delivered continuation of the virtues in his book on love and its many forms. Widely known for his ODE to hip-hop, “I Used to Love H.E.R", Common Sense has returned again loyal to his first love, rhythms, rhymes, and wordplay, hip- hop. Comprised of 11 songs, the project features collaborations with Swizz Beatz, Leikeli47, BJ The Chicago Kid, Jill Scott, Leon Bridges, Daniel Caesar, A-Trak and Samora Pinderhughes. The album Let Love plainly stated, feels good. The combination of original hip-hop and jazz allows for the album to groove melodically. With Common flowing through the tracks like live freestyled music, the project for sure feels like being at a spoken word café. The albums most recent single, “Show Me That You Love” is inspired by the honest lesson Common learned as a father from a daughter.

Poetically Common lends his ear to listen, releasing visuals along with the heartfelt track. “When I became a parent, I thought that I would be the one teaching my daughter. Boy was I wrong! My daughter has become one of my favorite teachers along with LIFE.” Common Sense, the heart of hip hop, makes authentic love music. His album, Let Love is available on all platforms.
