Freddie Jackson Receives Legend Award
Freddie Jackson receives the 2019 Black Music Honors Legend Award. Jackson is known as one of the most iconic R&B male vocalists of all time. With timeless classics like “Rock Me Tonight”(1985), “Have Your Ever Loved Somebody” (1986), “Jam Tonight” (1986), and other timeless classics. All of which have topped the charts. This year's Black Music Honors was hosted by televisionality and radio personality Rickey Smiley and Grammy-Award winner LeToya Luckett-Walker. Along with Walker, other honorees included artists like Yolanda Adams, and Tamia. As well as groups like Arrested Development and Xscape. The 4th Annual Black Music Honors is recognizing the singer by awarding him with the “State Farm Legend Award”. Overjoyed by the recognition Mr. Jackson expresses his gratitude by stating: "I'm honored, happy, and still floating! To be honored by the Black Music Honors speaks volumes and I'm so grateful to be here to receive this. Often roses are given when you're gone, I'm so blessed to receive this adulation while I can enjoy it!" The Award show aired in select markets on Bounce TV on October 20th, 2019.
