Jerard & Jovaun Releases Rendition of “The Potter’s House”
Gospel artist duo, Jerard & Jovaun recently released their modern rendition of the old hymn, “The Potter’s House” by The Hawkins. This husband-and-wife pair made their debut under Motown Gospel earlier this year with their cover of “What a Beautiful Name.” The video reached 1.6 million views, making the duo an overnight sensation. To no surprise, the melodic couple are very familiar in the music industry after spending two decades singing backup for gospel powerhouses like Bebe and Cece Winans, Yolanda Addams, Donnie McClurkin, etc. It was only a matter of time before their careers as a gospel duet took off.
Both Jerard and Jovaun are worship leaders at Bethesda Church in Ft. Worth, TX. Staying true to their signature style of putting their twist on popular songs, the two released a 5-track EP in early March entitled WHAT A BEAUTIFUL NAME. The EP includes a cover of “Oceans (Where Feet May Fall)” by Hillsong, “Great Are You Lord” by All Sons & Daughters, and more. Their recent release of “The Potter’s House” foreshadows a new project release from the Motown signees. With a rapid building fanbase, we can expect to hear more beautiful renditions and maybe even originals from Jerard & Jovaun Woods.
