R. Kelly’s Health Decline In Prison Could Lead to an Early Release

R. Kelly has spent the last four months in prison after being charged with prostitution, sexual assault, sexual abuse, and racketeering. While staying in Metropolitan Correctional Center, the prison’s conditions have taken a toll on his health.

According to the singer’s attorney, Steve Greenberg, his client is receiving “insufficient medical care.” Greenberg is claiming that Kelly is suffering from “numbness in one of his hands, anxiety, and an untreated hernia.”

Greenberg is also filing against the conditions of the prison. According to The Fader, Greenberg is claiming the conditions of the prison to be “stifling”. Kelly’s partners, Joclyn Savage and Azriel Clary, are only allowed to see him individually.

While Kelly is constantly going in and out of court, Greenberg continues to stress that the singer is not a flight risk because of his fame, and he does not possess a passport.

As a result of Greenberg claiming the decline of Kelly’s health, it is possible that Kelly could receive an early release from prison sources say.

The story is still being developed.
