K. Michelle’s New Single “The Rain”

Memphis native R&B singer, K. Michelle recently released her new single “The Rain.” The track is a Jazze Pha production that samples New Edition’s infamous song, “Can You Stand The Rain.” Putting a very sexual twist on the iconic chorus of the song, K. Michelle sings about whether or not her man is able to handle her sexually. “Storms will come/ Make me overflow/ Can you stand the rain?/ When we get done, I still want some more/ Can you make it rain?” she sings. The seductive and sultry song just proves K. Michelle to be even more of a creative genius than we already knew she was.

“The Rain” is the latest single off her upcoming 4th album, All Monsters are Human. Known for sharing her life and love experiences through her music, there’s no doubt that this album will follow suit. K. Michelle made a statement about her boldness to put her twist on such a longevitized song, “The Rain” is for the grown and sexy who appreciate real music, and understand the power of paying homage to those who came before you.” If you want to see K. Michelle be grown and sexy live, she is going on her “O.S.D” tour starting Nov. 11th in Grand Rapids, MI and ending right after Christmas on Dec. 28th in Jacksonville, FL.
