Fans Boo'd Drake At Camp Flog Gnaw

Every year, rapper Tyler the Creator hosts a music festival called Camp Flog Gnaw in Los Angeles. Although most performers are released beforehand, the headliner of the festival is nearly always the grand surprise. This year the surprise artist was the one and only, Drake, however, many of the fans were not happy. Apparently, there were speculations about Frank Ocean being the headliner, so sheer disappointment took over the evening and fans begin to boo the rapper. He was able to perform a total of nine songs, including “Going Bad,” “Feel No Ways,” and ironically, “I’m Upset.” In total, his set was cut by about 20 minutes early.

Before leaving the stage abruptly, Drake asked fans whether he should continue or not. “If you want me to keep going, I’ll keep going,” he spoke. Like the professional he is, he ended the night with an appropriate exit. “It’s been love. I go by the name of Drake, thank you for having me.”

Videos surfaced all over the internet showing the incident. It seemed like nearly the entire crowd was indeed booing him. There was an immediate shock from people who disapproved of the crowds. In fact, Tyler the Creator expressed his disapproval via Twitter by posting each tweet in all-caps. At some point, he even stated that he was embarrassed by his fans. He felt that he gave them a great surprise guest and was confused why everyone assumed Frank Ocean would appear.

“I THOUGHT BRINGING ONE OF THE BIGGEST ARTIST ON THE F*CKING PLANET TO A MUSIC FESTIVAL WAS FIRE,” Tyler exclaimed. “THAT SH*T WAS LIKE MOB MENTALITY AND CANCEL CULTURE IN REAL LIFE AND I THINK THAT SH*T IS F*CKING TRASH.”

Luckily, Drake was able to laugh the situation off in the end. Furthermore, he revealed in an Instagram post that he’ll be seeing the fans “every single year till [they’re] 30.” This is because a 10-year residency agreement was signed between Drake and Camp Flog Gnaw. In conclusion, if you aren’t a Drake fan then Camp Flog Gnaw may no longer be the festival for you!
