Luke James Releases “To Feel Love/d” Album

Two-time Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter and actor Luke James released his sophomore album To Feel Love/d this past January. This comes after a 6-year hiatus from music where James was actively working on his acting career with roles in Little, Star, and The New Edition Story. The album includes collaborations with artists such as Big K.R.I.T., BJ the Chicago Kid, Ro James, and Samoht. James kicked off the To Feel Love/d tour on January 29th in Philadelphia, where he also made appearances in Washington D.C., Atlanta, and his hometown, New Orleans. He describes his first single from the album, “Go Girl”, as a celebratory song featuring Ro James and BJ the Chicago Kid. His career has consisted of writing songs for Justin Bieber, Brittany Spears, and Chris Brown. Another notable moment of his includes being personally chosen by Beyoncé herself, to perform as an opening act during her The Mrs. Carter Show world tour. After the tours and a steady acting career, James was able to join the Culture Collective record label, managed by Johnathan Azu, who also partnered with Ingrooves Music Group. The two companies were able to work together and allow Luke James the artistic freedom he long sought after. Under their management, he was able to maintain his acting career while working on his new album, To Feel Love/d. Make sure you check it out!
