Kiana Ledé Releases New Album “KIKI”

Rising R&B singer-songwriter, actress and pianist, Kiana Ledé; just recently released her new album, KIKI, on her birthday this past April (April 3rd). This is her first studio album while having released successful previous projects (Selfless), and being featured on several other notable tracks.

KIKI embodies the singer’s personal experiences, being in her early 20s, and navigates through a series of situationship emotions ranging from love to heartbreak. Ledé speaks proudly and personally of the behind-the-scenes creating space behind the 17 tracked project. In an interview with People, she says “KIKI the album is an ode to a black/brown Aries in her early 20s using R&B as a cathartic release”. Despite having to drop the album in the midst of a rising pandemic, it rose to No. 30 on the Billboard 200 Chart. Kiana Ledé is not new to the music game. In 2011, she competed in the KIDZ Star USA Grand Prize competition, where she would eventually finish in the Top 4. She would go on to eventually sign with Republic Records in 2018, after departing from her previous label RCA records. Ledé’s debut album is just a taste of what she has to come, be sure to tune in!
