Lecrae Drops Upcoming Album Release Date & Cover Art, and Debuts New Music Video “Drown” ft. Joh

Singer, songwriter, and music executive, Lecrae, has just dropped the release date and cover art for his upcoming album, Restoration.The album is set to release August 21 on Reach Records and the cover art depicts a zoomed in shot of Lecrae with his eyes closed, arms horizontally spread, and his head thrown back facing up at the sky. He says that the album contains healing, but it’s important for listeners to realize that “you have to admit to being broken before you can be healed”. It has features from Kirk Franklin, Dani Leigh, YK Osiris, BJ The Chicago Kid, and more! There are three singles so far, Lecrae has dropped “Set Me Free”, “Deep End”, and of course, “Drown”. With his debut album (Real Talk) premiering in 2004, Lecrae has maintained a successful career and earned many awards; including 2 Grammys! Restoration will be his 10th studio album.

The video for “Drown” premiered on July 17, and has over a million views! It depicts multiple scenes; one with Lecrae standing in front of a wall with a mic hanging from the ceiling, and an intense background; one acknowledging the water crisis in Flint, MI, and the Coronavirus.
