Beyonce's Surprise Album is Coming SOON

For weeks, Beyoncé has been taunting her fans on social media hinting at her possible album. She temporarily removed all her instagram photos, and made her profile pictures on all accounts blank. After Beyoncé had the internet in shambles for a few days, she finally released the title of her album: Act 1: Renaissance. Along with the title of Beyonce’s 7th studio album, she also released some mysterious merchandise packages that are priced around $50. Fans were excited and shared posts on social media about how they are going to save their money for Queen Bey’s next tour. In typical Beyonce fashion, she slyly changes her Instagram bio to the date of the first song release of the album.

On June 20th, 2022 at midnight, BREAK MY SOUL was released on all streaming platforms. Immediately, listeners were shocked at the “vibe” of the song, because it was different from what most Beyonce fans expect from her. When we think of Beyonce, we think of R&B, Pop and Hip Hop, but BREAK MY SOUL is true House Music! This genre of music originated in Chicago in the 1970s and combines dance music with electro type music. House Music is mainly used in clubs, because it’s so easy to move your body to. Despite not being her typical type of music, the song has already been deemed as the perfect song to “kick off the summer”.
