RENAISSANCE: Queen Bey Has Done It Again!

Mrs. Carter! Mrs. Carter! Excuse me, the Lord knows what we want!

What can we say? It’s July 29th, 2022 and The Queen of the Renaissance has graced us with her lyrical prowess once again! That's right Queen Bey - Mrs. Carter - THE Beyonce Knowles dropped her seventh studio album at midnight and we are living for it!

It features 16 tracks that explore Yonce’s take on dance hall music. If you haven't listened in yet Renaissance Act 1 is streaming on all platforms from lyric videos on Youtube to the full volume on Spotify. (She wasn't stingy with this release .. ahem lemonade.. ) Excuse me while I replay Virgos Groove one more time!

The fresh vibrations of Beyonce's new music are full of affirmations, booty swishing rhythms, and exudes bad b*tch energy. As soon as you are oriented into her sultry tones of kitty cat fem energy on tracks 1-5, you'll thrust into a compulsive vogue session of immaculate proportions on track 6 and on! Keep in mind this is only a rumored installment 1 of 3 acts of the Renaissance series of music Bey is planning to deliver. This is the pandemic baby we actually wanted! Renaissance is better than a bop, issa whole mood! Beyonce showed us once again why she is THE super megastar to watch and stan!

Act 1 is featuring artists with known pulsing disco sound, such as Big Freeda, Will Pharrell, Skrillex, Labrinth, Lucky Daye, Tems, SYD, Nija Charles, Honey Dijon, The-Dream, Raphael Saadiq, No I.D., Hit-Boy, Drake and other amazing artists. The producers of this album gave us seamless transitions between each song. Much like lemonade, each song plays well into the next, so well in fact that at times you have to check the playlist, and you find yourself immersed in an entirely new song. Not many artists pay attention to such minute details and it's just another example of what makes Beyonce one of the great talents in music. Choppy where? Stiff where?

Beyonce’s music has always been rooted in empowering tones but her seventh album is structured differently. Some may say she's in the rich category with all her billions, but she addresses in several of her songs that she is in touch with the real world despite the underground chatter. In her song “I’m That Girl” - she notes “un-American life” with her ability to “Shine through the blinds”- later on stating her relief over “voting out 45” and how she can’t erase the “white supremacy that consistently threatens the structure of our country packing in comedic seriousness” “‘Caus them Karens just turned into terrorists.” Then she launches into “You Won’t Break My Soul” A foundation for the remainder of the album with a fierceness we haven't seen since “Survivor.

Overall Roses. Roses. Roses, and the kitchen sink. Renaissance Act 1, was a sensationally successful album. Queen Bey did what she came to do, which was done and done well. Beyonce has touched the souls and the Tweeters of the world in a way no one else can.
