Still Sippin
Houston, Texas native Paul Wall has been in the game for over two decades, and during that time he has created a name for himself. The Grammy-nominated, platinum artist has been busy dropping albums and making hits. All the way from 2005’s “Sittin’ Sidewayz” and “Girl” to his latest albums of 2020 “Subculture” and “Mind Over Matter.” Paul Wall is now teaming up with fellow Texas Swishahouse natives Slim Thug and Lil Keke for a new project. Slim Thug also claimed fame in the early 2000s with “3 Rings” and “Like a Boss” not to mention his collaboration with Beyoncé on “Check On It.” Lil Keke had his debut in 1997 with “Don’t Mess Wit Texas,” from there he was signed with Swishahouse Records and continued to propel in the industry. On July 30, 2021, the three Texas icons dropped “Still Sippin” and it showcases the true 2000’s hip hop sound straight outta Houston, Texas. It has a nostalgic flow with a new school beat; the drums hit hard with unique flares. However, the groovy melody and authentic southern hip hop swag still shine through. This 2 minute Texas anthem is definitely worth the listen, and it is now available on all music platforms.
