Summer Jam is Back!

It’s Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx, Manhattan and Staten Island. If you know these boroughs then you know that summer jam in New York City is always something to look forward to. New York has some of the best artists brewing out of this state. The weather may have been funky but the performances were off the roof. On August 22nd 2021, people came out of their homes during the peak of the Delta variant to celebrate good music, put on good outfits while enjoying the views of the stadium. Although it should have been in the heart of NY, possibly at the Yankee Stadium or the Barclays Center, Summer Jam was in East Rutherford, New Jersey at the Met stadium. However , the location and the weather didn’t stop fans from coming out to have a good time. Artists like DaBaby, Aboogie, Bobby Shmurda , Meek Mill the Migos and Swiss Beats put on a show to remember. Summer Jam NYC was a special stage to be a part of . Hot 97 gave Da Baby an opportunity to claim back his throne after huge controversy throughout the media over harsh opinionated statements he made. Swiss Beatz did a tribute to the great DMX after his passing this year. A Boogie did a tribute to Pop smoke while bringing his mother out on stage to commemorate his life and celebrate his music. Not only were there commemorations but the return of Rowdy Rebel and Bobby Shmurda in NY was huge after being sentenced back in 2014. Hot 97 made summer jam NYC the place to be . As COVID-19 protocols were in place fans were able to enjoy concert life again.
