Superbowl 55: Eveything You Need to Know

Over the weekend most of the world sat together and watched the SuperBowl 55. With Tom Brady playing, a lot of fans have become a little bit richer than they were if they betted on the Bucs.

This has been Brady’s 7th Super Bowl win in his career! Sporting news reported “Brady outdueled Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs on Sunday night, keeping them from repeating as Super Bowl champs. He did that by completing 21 of 29 passes for 201 yards and three touchdowns to no interceptions. He also got help from running backs Ronald Jones II (12 carries, 61 yards) and Leonard Fournette (16 carries, 89 yards, one score) in the Bucs' 31-9 rout. If entire units could win Super Bowl MVP, however, this year's award would undoubtedly go to Todd Bowles' Buccaneers defense: The group limited Mahomes to 26-of-49 passing for 270 yards and pulled in two interceptions. Rookie running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire was the Chiefs' leading rusher with 64 yards, while tight end Travis Kelce led all receivers with 10 receptions and 133 yards. Tyreek Hill caught seven passes for 67 yards”

It was definitely a tough game for the Kansas City Chiefs as they could not make it to score in the double digits at least. The bucs were playing very defensive and this was great for their game. The final score was 31 to 9. According to the profootballnetwork, there were also impact penalties.

“There were the penalties, of course. One second-quarter drive started with a 56-yard punt that became a 29-yarder due to a penalty, followed by a Tyrann Mathieu interception that became a first down because of a penalty, followed by a field goal attempt that became a first down and a touchdown to Rob Gronkowski because of a penalty. Before halftime, the Buccaneers’ touchdown drive was made up almost exclusively of pass interference penalties on what appeared to be uncatchable balls. And it all happened after a 2020 regular season in which the Buccaneers benefitted from an all-time record 24 pass interference penalties.

Brady benefitted from more than just some lopsided-looking officiating. Patrick Mahomes’ receivers slipped and fell all over the field at the start of the third quarter and dropped some pinpoint passes.”

The Bucs played a hard fair game and their reaction to winning showed their extreme gratitude. The fact that the super bowl was able to still happen in the middle of a pandemic with fans is almost a miracle being as though there are events for this year that have been completely cancelled. Many fans in the stands had masks on but others did not. Luckily there hasn’t been any reports of anyone that attended the super bowl has contracted coronavirus.
