Young Thug and Gunna post bail for 30 people at Fulton County
Atlanta-based rappers Young Thug and Gunna posted bail for 30 low-level offenders being held at Fulton County. “We just woke and went to the jail with the lawyer, DA’s and prosecutors and, you know, the bonding company and just got as many people as we can out. Probably like 20 or 30 people,” said Thug. Both rappers said those they helped were being held on minor charges but were being forced to stay in jail because they could not afford their bond.
Those who were released were served a home-cooked meal and featured in Slime Language 2 single Paid the Fine.
Slime Language 2 was released on April 16th and sold roughly 113,000 total album-equivalent units in its first week. The album was released under YSL (Young Stoner Life and Young Slatt Life) a subsidiary under 300 Entertainment and Atlantic Records founded by Young Thug. Many YSL artists were featured on the album including Thug, Gunna, Lil Keed, T-Shyne, Lil Duke, and Yak Gotti. Other notable names include Meek Mill, Drake, Big Sean, Future, Travis Scott, Rowdy Rebel and Coi Leray.
It was the label’s 3rd ever Number 1 album following Gunna’s Wunna in 2020 and Young Thug’s So Much Fun in 2019.
Slime Language 2 is the 2nd Hip Hop/ R&B album to hit the Billboard 200s No. 1 spot after Rod Wave’s SoulFly.
