Tyrese Gibson Ex-Wife Claims He Violated His Restraining Order

American actor and singer, Tyrese Gibson is making a “fast and furious” entrance into the courtroom yet again.

In August of 2017, Tyrese was hit with a temporary restraining order by his ex-wife, Norma Mitchell who claims that he abused their daughter, Shayla Gibson on multiple occasions.

Norma, who was married to Gibson from 2007-2009, allegedly says he hit Shayla “between 12 and 16 times,” causing her to later tell her mother that she couldn’t sit down due to the pain saying, “Mum, Dad beat me so hard that it hurts when I sit down.”

Norma is accusing the actor of violating the temporary restraining order by hiring a plane to fly a banner over their 10-year-old daughter's school. Shayla was allegedly "mortified" when she saw the jumbo-sized message, which read, "No matter what, Daddy loves you Shayla." He wanted it to read, “In the end however way it looks, however way this all feels stay strong my little angel I taught you that this is all just a process of pain seeking happiness, whatever the outcome just know the courts and no one will ever paint our picture no matter what daddy still loves you Shayla”, but apparently it was too expensive. Shayla has also been receiving deliveries of flowers, stuffed animals, balloons, and edible arrangements to her school all from her father.

Tyrese took to Instagram to address the situation by saying, “After 9 years of working extremely hard to co-parent our child, I am disappointed to learn that the mother of my daughter has made gross and false accusations against my character in a shameful attempt to ruin our co-parenting efforts,” he said. “There is nothing I love more in this world than my daughter and I would never do anything to harm her well-being or happiness. Co-parenting is tough and it’s unfortunate when your partner tries to sabotage the situation with hurtful lies and irrational behavior.”
