The 21st Annual Super Bowl Gospel Celebration will air on BET Networks on Saturday, February 1st, 2020 at 8pm EST/PT. The celebration will be hosted by National Radio/Television personality, Rickey Smiley. The annual NFL-event will be filmed live on January 30th, 2020 at the James L Knight Center before it is televised on air that weekend.
During the one-hour special, NFL brothers, Quincy Williams, a member of the Jacksonville Jaguars, and Quinnen Williams, a member of the New York Jets, will both receive the “Faith in Action” Award. After losing their mother to breast cancer in 2010, the brothers prevailed against their grief and became American Cancer Society Ambassadors, helping African Americans get proper testing for cancer in their communities. Along with rewarding the worthy recipients, a series of performances will take place during the show.
Performances at the Super Bowl Gospel Celebration will include, Donnie McClurkin, the NFL Players Choir, Travis Greene, BET’s Sunday Best winners, Le’Andria Johnson and Melvin Crispell III, and a special reunion performance by the group Commissioned.
